Biography: Dr. John Augustine LAWAL, obtained his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degrees in Industrial Chemistry in the year 2004 and 2010 and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Degree in Chemistry in the year 2021 respectively from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. He mentored both undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Department of Chemistry, University of Ilorin on laboratory techniques for industrial effluent analysis and modification of clays for adsorption; as Research Assistant from the year 2015 to 2020. Presently, Dr. John Lawal is currently a lecturer at the Department of Chemical Sciences (Industrial Chemistry), Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, Nigeria. His research interests covers advanced clay modification for adsorption, clay hydrogel and clay mineral catalysis for wide range of industrial and environmental applications.
